Wenzhao Dai
PhD student
I started my dual bachelor's degree in 2014 at the University of Strathclyde (BSc Hons in Biochemistry and Pharmacology) in the United Kingdom and China Pharmaceutical University (BSc in Pharmacy). I finished my BSc experimental thesis in the group of Dr. Edward Rowan.
After my graduation in 2018, I continued my Master's study in Brain Science at University College London. I completed my project on multiple sclerosis using MRI in Prof. Olga Ciccarelli Group and obtained the Master's degree in 2019.
Since January 2020, I have been working as a PhD student in Prof. Oliver Zerbe on the repeat protein project, where I aim to create a protein origami that allows placing molecules in defined geometric [relations relative to each other] assemblies. A combination of wet-lab techniques and computational methods is the key to explore the full potential of this project but I am also eager to complement my existent skill set with scientific collaborations outside of my area of expertise.
